We are seeking a Senior Crypto Accountant to lead and oversee the precise and compliant financial management of cryptocurrency transactions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax accounting principles, a deep understanding of cryptocurrency, and a proven ability to navigate the complexities of crypto financial reporting. Proficiency in traditional ERP systems like QuickBooks and Xero is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of crypto accountants, fostering a culture of excellence in financial management.
• Tax Reporting Excellence: Collaborate with the tax department to prepare detailed crypto tax reports and financial statements, maintaining accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Sub-ledger Mastery: Utilize crypto sub-ledgers such as Bitwave, Integral, Cryptoworth, Cryptio, etc. and integrate them seamlessly with traditional ERP systems like QuickBooks and Xero, to maintain precise transaction records and monitor discrepancies.
• Blockchain Expertise: Apply your advanced knowledge of blockchain technology to address complex financial reconciliation challenges unique to the crypto industry.
• Data Analysis Mastery: Analyze transaction data to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and potential issues, providing strategic insights and recommendations for resolution.
• Process Enhancement: Evaluate and recommend process improvements, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices in crypto accounting, and optimizing integration with traditional ERP systems.
• Documentation Excellence: Maintain comprehensive records of financial transactions and reporting activities, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or further specialization in blockchain technology is a plus.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in tax accounting, with significant exposure to cryptocurrency financial management.
• Proven leadership experience, including the management and mentorship of a team of crypto accountants.
• Expertise in crypto sub-ledgers such as BitQuery, Quadency, and Blox, and proficiency in traditional ERP systems like QuickBooks and Xero.
• Comprehensive understanding of blockchain technology and its implications for financial reconciliation.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication of complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
